Giving you confidence with the right knowledge, skills and guidance

One of our objectives is to share our experience with parents so you are able to care for your child with confidence and help to continue their development at home. Individually tailored knowledge, skills and guidance is provided during all PIPs Service sessions, including:

  • Sensory motor development
  • Manual handling in everyday activities
  • Postural care/management
  • Communication development
  • Eating and drinking safety and development
  • AAC (augmentative and alternative communication)
  • Learning through play
  • Regulation.

Pace support community

Parenting can be extremely rewarding, but we recognise that it has its challenges. We hold informal drop in coffee mornings that allow parents and carers of babies and young children with developmental needs and disabilities to gain support and reassurance from others in similar situations and to be a part of the wider PIPs Service and Pace communities.

The groups are supported by a Pace therapist from the PIPs team who is on hand to give advice and discuss any concerns you might have.

Whether you’re new to parenting and caring, or have many years of experience, a warm welcome awaits.

Come along to our parent coffee mornings to meet other parents with children with additional needs. Children and siblings are welcome!

Sessions run the second Thursday of the month. You can check dates and book here.

Drop in anytime between 9.30am and 11:00am.

Where: The Family Room, The Weston Centre, Bradbury Campus, 156 Wendover Road, HP22 5TE.

A suggested donation of £2 is requested to cover the cost of the refreshments.
