WHO REQUIRES THIS QUALIFICATION?
This qualification is specifically for those individuals who are to become an emergency first-aider in the workplace. This one-day qualification meets the requirements of both the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

Paediatric First Aid

The objective of this qualification is to support learners wishing to become a paediatric first-aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children.
WHAT DOES THE QUALIFICATION COVER?
Topics include:
• The roles and responsibilities of a first-aider
• Assessing an emergency situation safely
• CPR and AED
• Administering first aid to a choking infant or child
• Dealing with shock, scolds, bleeds, bites, stings and minor injuries
• Providing first aid to an infant or a child with anaphylaxis
• Dealing with casualties with fractures, and spinal or head injuries

Meet the trainer
Jamie has worked in the British Army, His Majesty’s Prison Service, and the private security industry. During his ten years in the Bristish Army, Jamie has seen active service in Afghanistan, Iraq, and multiple other countries.
As a youth custody care officer, Jamie gained experience working with young people and dealing with their medical emergencies.
Active in the private security industry, he remains current and comptent with updated protocols.
Jamie is a qualified first responder and instructor in multiple disciplines.
