Meet our Conductors!

It is Conductive Education Week – so what is Conductive Education?

Conductive education (CE) is a holistic educational system. It helps children with cerebral palsy and neurodisabilities face challenges and be as independent as possible.

CE is central at Pace (particularly Pace School) because it focuses on children’s potential. It fosters a ‘can do’ attitude, where children are challenged to try new things.

Our Conductors have been asking the students what Conductive Education means to them – have a read of their amazing comments below.

I can sit crossed legged on the floor. I know Katy helps me with floor programmes.
I can swim and drive my chair. I know my friends and I have special shoes.
I can run in my walker and use my left hand. I know that conductors push us to do anything we think we can do.
I can walk in my walker I know that conductors like the numbers 1 to 5 and they like movement.
