Tummy time video
How to support your baby
Tummy time uses different muscles, as your baby begins to take weight through their arms and shoulders. They experience new sensory input, with pressure on their trunk and face, and their head in a new position. Their eyes have to track together and, with their hands in front of their face, their coordination develops.
Your baby can go on their tummy several times a day for short periods. Start with a few minutes at a time, and increase as your baby gets comfortable. Remember, your baby should be continuously monitored while on their tummy.
