James Stark
James Stark has been working as a member of the AT team as an AT technician at The Pace Centre for over 3 years. He is currently a third (and final) year student studying occupational therapy. During his time as a student, James has increased his understanding of therapy by completing a placement in a hospital ward and a community occupational therapy service.
James has over a decade of engagement in the field of working with children and young people. His background includes two transformative summers working at a disability camp in America caring for people of a variety of ages and abilities. James’s current commitments extend to coaching Boccia at a high level, which he has done for the past five years.
In addition to his AT role, James has a strong foundation in working with diverse age groups, gained through years of dedicated service, including assisting as a carer during the pandemic. He draws on this broad experience to create inclusive environments and looks forward to contributing further to the realms of assistive technology and youth development as a whole.
James is eager to connect and collaborate on initiatives within the AT service that align with his passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
