Cooking club is a roaring success!

A student in a supportive wheelchair takes part in a cooking club activity with help from a staff member mixing ingredients in a bowl. On the right side, text titled “Cooking club is a roaring success!” explains how the weekly lunchtime club helps students develop practical living skills such as blending, cutting, weighing, and mixing while improving mobility and coordination.

Cooking club is a roaring success!

Last term, our Occupational Therapist Lindsey began a weekly lunchtime cooking club with the help of our extraordinary LSAs for classes Oak and Rowan. It’s safe to say, this has been a runaway success with great participation from students that has become a highlight of the week for many. It’s a great activity for our children to learn brand new living daily living skills like blending, cutting, weighing and mixing which all provide great opportunity to explore new mobility and hand-eye coordination skills.

Take a look below at some of the lovely pictures we’ve had from cooking club in the past few weeks.
