Demand for specialist education and therapy is growing. Families face increasing pressure. Services are stretched. Too many children and young people still struggle to access the support they need, when they need it.
At Pace, we believe children with developmental differences, neurodiversity and neurodisability deserve more than access to services – they deserve opportunities to thrive.
In 2025, we undertook a full strategic review, listening to families, staff, trustees and partners. Their message was clear: families value expertise, collaboration and quality, and there is a growing need for organisations that can deliver meaningful, evidence-based support.
This strategy sets out how Pace will respond over the next three years – strengthening our services, extending our reach, and increasing our impact.

Our Purpose
We exist to empower children with developmental differences, neurodiversity or neurodisability to thrive in childhood, adolescence and throughout their lives – supporting families to find the joy, confidence and power to take their place in the world.
Our Mission
We strive for excellence through transdisciplinary teams delivering integrated, evidence-based therapy and specialist education for our children. Working in meaningful partnership with families, professionals and communities, we share knowledge and best practice, so every child is seen, heard and equipped for lifelong opportunities.
Our Vision
A society of true inclusion, where education, therapy, care and communities work together with children with developmental differences, neurodiversity or neurodisability, and their families – enabling them to belong, participate and thrive in the world.

Deliver consistently outstanding education and therapy, grounded in evidence, expertise and measurable outcomes.
We will strengthen quality assurance, improve impact measurement and continue investing in continuous improvement.

Build a financially resilient organisation that can deliver high-quality services for the long term.
We will strengthen governance, improve financial resilience and ensure every decision supports long-term sustainability.
Lasting Impact
Extend our reach so more children, young people and families can benefit from the Pace approach.
We will grow through partnerships, commissioned services and knowledge-sharing – expanding impact

By 2029, we aim to:
- Support significantly more children, young people and families
- Strengthen evidence of impact across all services
- Be recognised as a trusted leader in specialist SEND support
- Grow sustainable income through strategic partnerships
- Improve systems and services beyond Pace through influence and collaboration
This means helping more children thrive – not only within Pace, but across the wider SEND system and in the community.
