Communication
Many children at PACE struggle with communication.
Technology has greatly improved the outlook for even non-verbal children, and systems like 'eyegaze' gives children like Jason (11yrs) an accessible voice for the first time.
Eyegaze uses a small camera, linked to a computer, to accurately track eye pointing. Words, whole sentences, the internet and email become readily available.
Watch Jason below using his eyegaze system, he began using this system in Summer 2009 and this video was shot in October 2009.
